Directions to Sun Rising

Sun Rising can easily be found just off the A422 (Banbury to Stratford upon Avon road).
From Stratford: the site is signposted as 'Natural Burial Ground' both before and opposite the turn. Turn right just before Sun Rising Hill; it is the second turning signposted to Tysoe. Don't turn off the A422 until you see the sign!
From Banbury: turn left at the bottom of Sun Rising Hill - the site is signposted as 'Natural Burial Ground' opposite the turn.

The postcode is CV35 0DG.  NB: this is a new postcode, so will work on a smart phone or new Sat Nav.

For older systems, use CV35 0BU: this may take you to Orchard Farm Nursery. With the nursery on your left, continue on to where the road bears sharply right at Hopkins Farm; here there is a signpost that directs you left to the 'Natural Burial Ground'.

There is parking for 20 cars in our main car park. It may be that cars are double-parked for events when guests are all likely to be leaving at the same time. For larger events, it is possible for us to open up our top car park, or in dry weather cars will be parked on designated areas on the grassland. There are no marked disabled bays: visitors with mobility limitations are advised to contact us beforehand.

Parking at Sun Rising (for events of over 50 people)

Rail: both Stratford upon Avon and Banbury have railway stations, Stratford is 12 miles away, Banbury 10 miles away.

Bus: STAGECOACH bus numbers 6 and 7 travel between Stratford (Bridge Street) and Banbury (Coach Station), coming through Tysoe. There are only a few each weekday and Saturday, so it is worth checking the website timetable or calling them for confirmation. While the number 7 goes through Lower Tysoe, the number 6 goes down Radway Road and past the burial ground.
We are pleased to say that Stagecoach have advised us that passengers on the number 6 may request a drop off at our main entrance, and equally can flag down the bus for it to pick them up.

Taxi: if you would prefer to take a taxi from the rail stations, we would suggest Stratford Taxis (01789 414007) from Stratford, and Castle Cars from Banbury (01295 270011). Do ask for a quote, including waiting and return journey, when you call them to book a car.
