Directions

Sun Rising can easily be found just off the A422 (Banbury to Stratford upon Avon road).
From Stratford: the site is signposted as 'Natural Burial Ground' both before and opposite the turn. Turn right just before Sun Rising Hill; it is the second turning signposted to Tysoe. Don't turn off the A422 until you see the sign!
From Banbury: turn left at the bottom of Sun Rising Hill - the site is signposted as 'Natural Burial Ground' opposite the turn.

The postcode is CV35 0DG.  NB: this is a new postcode, so will work on a smart phone or new Sat Nav.

For older systems, use CV35 0BU: this may take you to Orchard Farm Nursery. With the nursery on your left, continue on to where the road bears sharply right at Hopkins Farm; here there is a signpost that directs you left to the 'Natural Burial Ground'.

PARKING

There are two car parks.  The North Entrance is close to the Longhouse.  There is parking for 20 cars, with an overflow holding a further 10 cars, plus an area near the Longhouse for hearse, limousines or disabled cars.  At the South Entrance, there is space for 20 cars.  For a meeting, funeral or other event, a family will have been told which car park to use.  If you have a query, please get in touch.  There are no marked disabled bays: visitors with mobility limitations are advised to contact us beforehand.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Rail: both Stratford upon Avon and Banbury have railway stations, Stratford is 11 miles away, Banbury 9 miles away.

Bus: Stagecoach bus numbers 76 and 76A travel between Stratford and Banbury, coming through Tysoe. There are only a few each weekday and Saturday, so it is worth checking the timetables on their website or contacting them for confirmation.

Taxi: if you would prefer to take a taxi from the rail stations, we would suggest Stratford Taxis (01789 414007) from Stratford, and Castle Cars from Banbury (01295 270011). Do ask for a quote, including waiting and return journey, when you call them to book a car.
